Michigan hospitals reduce VAP by over 70 percent

Hospitals in Michigan reduced the rate of pneumonia in patients who are on ventilators by over 70 percent by using a targeted quality improvement initiative called Comprehensive Unit-based Safety Program (CUSP), according to a press release from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
