Report finds hospital acquired infection rate dropped in Pennsylvania Hospitals

Pennsylvania hospitals have reduced hospital acquired infections by 12.5 percent between 2008 and 2009. 

The Pennsylvania Department of Health report is the first full-year report will stand as the baseline year for hospitals.  As 2009 was the first full year of reported data, the Department of Health relied on 6 months of data from 2008 in order to draw the comparison.
