Hospitals at risk of not receiving EHR Funding

Many U.S. hospitals will not meet the requirements to qualify for Medicare and Medicaid incentive payments included in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

According to the HIMSS report, 30 – 40% of hospitals are at risk of not receiving the Medicare and Medicaid incentive payments because they have not demonstrated “meaningful use” of EHRs.
